J'espère qu'on me passera cette référence datée et de plutôt mauvais goût mais ce premier album éponyme d'Autonoesis me rappelle le portrait de la femme idéale brossé par Pascal dans Les Trois Frères (grosse référence, hein ?) : on a principalement du thrash metal exécuté à la perfection avec des solos de guitares incroyables qui s'enchaînent, avec une production et des thèmes du black metal atmosphérique (jusqu'à suivre la philosophie de tout faire seul) et du chant black metal. ET TOUT TIENT !

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!
